An Inbound EIB can be achieved through
Loading data into the workday, through an attachment
Loading data into the workday, from an external SFTP, FTP/SSL or FTP location
Loading data into the workday, through a REST-based URL.
Common examples of the activities that can be done through the Inbound EIB are
Importing accounting journals into Workday from an excel that has been provided as an attachment
Importing high volume data for a group of employees, such as mass transfer, mass termination, mass hire etc. through an attachment
An outbound EIB can be achieved through
Getting data out of Workday, in a file format (.txt, .csv, etc.) as an attachment
Getting data out of Workday, in a file format (.txt, .csv, etc.) by directly placing it an external SFTP or sending it via email.
Common examples of the activities that can be done through the Outbound EIB are
Export all the active employees and send them to a Benefits Partner.
Send all the compensation details of the employees to the Payroll Partner.
